This arrangement of an older familiar hymn has been arranged with “gospel” harmonies and rhythms to add a burst of color to your service. This piece is written for solo piano (with no instruments) and is written to carry hundreds of voices all the way through to a satisfying end. If the director is accommodating only a handful of voices, or if relaxing some of the swing style is desirable, duplets may be substituted with a quarter/eighth note divisions. Full climactic development and keyboard articulations are written into the score.

The beautiful accompaniment and the unison congregation could be used both congregationally and chorally (as we did)… For small to medium-sized choirs on low attendance Sundays these could be effective choral pieces or as a way to develop choir and orchestra when (as is our case) some choir members are also instrumentalists. We used three pieces as part of our Easter celebration. All were very well received. We were able to include our developing orchestra with all of it. So, thank you!
