Using the traditional tune, this arrangements opens with an introductory motive that energizes the hymn and a clear entrance for voices. The key has been lowered to B-flat to ensure vocal ease for congregation, and a key change for the final stanza has been written into the score, as well. Dynamic development for each stanza and melody shaping are written into the score to cue the pianist. Fantastic for a festive worship service opener, and simple enough to pull off with very little preparation.

The beautiful accompaniment and the unison congregation could be used both congregationally and chorally (as we did)… For small to medium-sized choirs on low attendance Sundays these could be effective choral pieces or as a way to develop choir and orchestra when (as is our case) some choir members are also instrumentalists. We used three pieces as part of our Easter celebration. All were very well received. We were able to include our developing orchestra with all of it. So, thank you!
